today

was... interesting.

a friend of dad's came up from greenville, over an hour away
he wanted to hang out and go to the play that's going on here for a bit... it's a historical-ish play about the halifax resolves
whiiiich lead to the declaration of independence, and so on.

the play was alright.
the sound system was being staticky and they turned it off a few minutes into the play, so it was hard to hear some parts.
...i didn't know there was singing parts in the play, lol
made me think 'wtf is this disney' with there being a romance sub-plot amidst the drama of 'should we split from england or not???'
they even had a duet, wat.

it was getting dark, they got the resolves signed, and everyone came onstage to sing together

so i'm thinking 'kay, that was good, now its over'

then they say there's a 15min break

...what there's more?????
we all were getting tired and hungry so we decided to leave then

went to logan's steakhouse
so i had my awesome grilled salmon /o/

now we are home and i'm the only one left awake now.

buuut a headache's starting so... just thought i'd post about today before i flopped.

oh and vdex.

went to this waterfowl park over in Scotland Neck today
which btw is what we thought the guy was coming for. only.
originally he was gonna come, we'd visit the park, and he'd go home
but he brings all this 'let's go to the play!' and 'yes i'm staying at your house' when he's already on his way here.

talk about some scrambling to clean up.

...still doesn't help the house look anywhere near presentable, but whatever.

ANYWAY the park.
birds birds everywhere~~
all kinds.
rare and endangered birds, as well as common birds.
it's pretty cool
though dad kinda hurried us because he wanted to work at least some of the day... ;;;
dad's camera was in the truck so i got to take some pics
but then it was full
and i all had was pictures of... ducks.
cute ducks, but still nothing cool.
