nnnnnnot much has happened lately.
umm.
I finally got around to playing more of Tales of Symphonia this morning
haven't touched it in months because i felt too lazy to hook the gamecube up
but now I have a wiiii so i played it on that
...welll i can see issues with it becoming widescreen? :/
oh well whatever
having two bosses in a row really kept screwing with me
but i got past it anyway~
now sheena's in the party
we exploded a ranch
and i have no clue what to do next
supposed to go in this tower to find a cure for a curse
but uh. its locked. don't have anything to unlock it, no scene is triggered, nothing? :/
oh welll

past few days i watched Let's Play videos of...
Silent Hill~
i just went 'screw it i wanna know wtf is going on :|'
cause earlier this year a friend got me interested
but i'm too wimpy to play so i'd insist on him being there with me when i did
...even though he was a bit mean and said the lights had to be off.
but um someone being there was better than just lights so yeah
buuuut he moved back home and i just couldn't do more alone

so now that mood/interest came back so i just went for LPs
sooo yeah seen SH 1-3~
will be looking for 4 and more in a bit :3
i also watched a LP of Clock Tower 3
actually i tried to start with the first one but that is just so dang slow
seriously girl your friends disappeared/are killed and you're just leisurely walking around
um no hurry up already
anyway

totally want to play it myself.
and i'll be looking for a LP of 2 soon, as well. hee.

ehhhh i guess i'm out of things to talk about. blah.

Yeah but to get a console for a couple of games is pretty ridiculous. Totally makes you miss out on the cheap game library that clocks in at 2000 now.

I also assume getting a Japanese PS2 was more expensive than getting an American one + a swap magic or something...but I digress..

You can always just look into modding that PS3 to play american games...but I'm not sure about doing it the reverse way which is how you'd have to do it...

Yeah, it was more expensive, and its causing problems now that I'd like to play english stuff, which is why I said I'm a dumbass.

I really dunno about modding. I'd feel more comfortable with the disc swapper, I had a friend with one like that so I got used to how it works.

Swapdisc? Yes. Modchips? Looking into now.
In terms of things, I suppose a modchip would be best, since it'd probably be cheaper and would also be less stress on the disc drive.

I actually have 60$ I got as Christmas money from my Mom.
The problem now is, I need to find a place that'd take check/money orders, since my dad won't let me use his credit cards now, since they're starting to whack with interest... and we're not doing so well anyway.

You're really just better off getting the american PS2...and then in the future getting the swap disc.

Looking at the Swapmagic site, there is places selling JP Swapmagic - just my problem is of those, all but one are in japanese and wouldn't sell outside.

Still comes down to my problem of not being able to use credit cards, though.

Also looked into modchips. Can't find any sites I could buy from. /sigh

I know what you mean, my cold doesn't seem to be getting better! I came down with a fever at one point.

I used to love Tales of Symphonia, I think that's the best game out of all the Tales series. Never got the hang of the other ones. Though I still haven't had the opportunity to play Tales of Abyss (not released in the UK)...

Never played Silent Hill... Assuming it's like Resident Evil?

Symphonia's good, but I'm a bit more fond of Abyss and Vesperia ... buuut well I should give Symphonia more of a chance, since I haven't finished it yet. (not that I've finished Tales of the Abyss either, since my PS2 is Japanese, but I've played some of it and watched the whole anime...)

Silent Hill 4 suuuuuuucks. I didn't even play it myself, but I want all that time of watching someone else play it back.

Personally, I think the Fatal Frame games are even scarier than the Silent Hill games, but I don't know if that would come across in an LP. A lot of the terror comes from the sense of "OH GOD OH GOD WHY DON'T I HAVE A WEAPON ALL I HAVE IS THIS STUPID CAMERA" and knowing that to defeat anything, you have to use that camera, which will mean nice closeups of whatever is trying to suck the life out of you.
