So like, Dad thought he'd take me out this morning to see some people about getting a job!!!
well i got nicely showered yesterday and got ready quick this morning

he takes a look at my hair and freaks
its greasy after just one night???
:|
well we didn't have time to do anything about it because dad accidently put some in-shop phone in his locker at lowe's
so we left
he went in lowe's to fix the phone thing and get something for some guy
then we sat.
it's just 7am, not many stores open at this point
oh look, the store we were waiting on? has no store hours posted on it's door. brilliant.
well dad's all 'i gotta do stuff, so pick somewhere to eat'
i'm all for wings&rings because i love that dang chickennnn
but wait its 7 IN THE MORNING :|
mcdonalds? serving breakfast only. i want chicken nuggets and fries, ffs. what kind of '24hr' service is this :|
dad mentioned bojangles has good chicken biscuits
i'm like eh ok let's check them out
FREAKING HUUUGE LINE IN DRIVE-THRU
nvm
other places i know with good stuff? not open

so 'fuck it, take me home'
and we ended up arguing
a lot
bitching about my hair, this and that, saying my attitude is bad
wtfever i'm not the only one in the world that might want chicken in the morning :|

but anyway i realized, hey, i never ate that taco meat last night
mood: improved.
not perfect, but improved.
got home, microwaved that stuff, mixed in some sour cream and ate it with corn chips. <3~
...then went back down and nabbed the ice cream because my mood was still pretty blah

now i am here and... okay.
dad and i decided he'd get me some of that chickennnn from wings&rings tonight after he gets off work, yey!

Chicken is good. I would have had some fried chicken take out for dinner tonight but hey, at least I sold up to 139 dollars of books this week... There was one last customer today who stayed up to ten minutes past closing time. I'm glad he found seven paperbacks to buy though.

No luck in finding a job yet?

I work and own my own bookstore, and sell plants and garden statues outside in front of the building in addition to selling books. :)

I hope there's a job out there for ya.

When I moved here there was one small bookstore, but they weren't selling enough to handle the rent and had to close ._.

The bookstore business is a dying breed. There's only one other used bookstore besides mine in Calvert County, Maryland.

Online shopping's taking over. The economy's bending over backwards and prices on books everywhere else are rising. It's crazy.

Doesn't help that most people want to read less and less. :|

So true... It gets annoying when I get those people who just poke their heads through the doorway, say "Oh, books," and leave. B|

Movies, TV, and video games are great...but picturing stuff in your mind as you read a fun novel, or looking through comics and manga, is nice too.

I try to read at least almost as much as I write stuff, and read other people's stuff online. And I have such a huge comic collection...and I just know it's going to grow more once I set money and time aside to go through the bunches and BUNCHES of comics--old and new--I've seen on sale in the main building of the marketplace area I work in.
